Food Truck Permitting and Inspection Proccess

The Oxford Township requires anyone operating a Mobile Food Establishment within the township to have an annual permit. 

To obtain a permit, please complete the following steps:

1) Download and complete the Food Truck Inspection Application here.

​2) Email the completed application as an attachment to Inspections@oxfordfiredept.com

3) Once the completed application is received by the Oxford Fire Prevention Division, you will be contacted to schedule the inspection. If you are not contacted within one (1) business day after submitting your application, please contact our offices to ensure that your application was received at (248)-969-9483. Ask for the Fire Prevention office. 

 

Inspections are scheduled Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 AM - 4 PM.

There will be an increased fee for inspections scheduled outside of normal operating hours subject to the availability of an inspector.  All inspections will be performed at Fire Station 1 (96 N Washington Oxford, MI 48371).

Fees are as follows

  • Inspections Scheduled 2 days in advance that fall during normal business hours Monday- Friday 7am-4pm. Permit Fee: $100

  • Expedited Inspections schedules with less than 2 business days notice upon receipt of application and or scheduled outside of normal business hours.  Permit Fee: $200

  • All fees shall be paid at the time of inspection.  Fees can be paid with cash, check, or credit.  Please use the link below if you are paying with credit and bring proof of payment with you to the inspection.
